How to Redeem an Apple Gift Card (Step by Step)

The card's region and currency must match your Apple ID country. A US Apple gift card (USD) will not redeem on a UK or EU Apple ID.

The code is 16 characters long. It's printed on the back of a physical card, or shown on your paid order page for digital purchases on Taria Gift.

You need to be signed in to an Apple ID for redemption. Gift card balance cannot be held without an account.

Method A — via the App Store:

1. Open the App Store.

2. Tap your profile photo in the top-right corner.

3. Tap "Redeem Gift Card or Code".

4. Tap "Enter Code Manually" and type the 16-character code, or use the camera to scan a physical card.

5. Tap "Redeem". The balance is added to your Apple ID immediately.

Method B — via Settings:

1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.

2. Tap "Media & Purchases" → "Redeem Gift Card".

3. Enter or scan the code.

2. Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar.

3. Click "Redeem Gift Card".

4. Enter the code manually, or click "Use Camera" if your Mac has a webcam.

5. Click "Redeem".

1. Sign in at apple.com with your Apple ID.

2. Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout.

3. Under payment options, click "Apply Gift Card or Code" and enter the code.

The balance is applied to your order total. You can also sign in at appleid.apple.com and add gift card balance through the account overview without making a purchase.

1. From the Apple TV home screen, open the App Store.

2. Navigate to your account (select the profile icon).

3. Select "Redeem Gift Card".

4. Use the on-screen keyboard or the Remote app on your iPhone to enter the 16-character code.

On iPhone or iPad: App Store → tap your profile photo → your remaining Apple ID balance is shown at the top of the screen.

On Mac: App Store → click your name in the sidebar → balance appears below your name.

The balance does not expire once redeemed and rolls over to future purchases automatically.

"This code is not valid in your country or region": The card's region does not match your Apple ID country. You need a gift card that matches your account's country, or you can change your Apple ID country — though this requires a payment method for the new region.

"Code has already been redeemed": The code was used previously. If you received it from Taria Gift and it arrived already redeemed, contact support within 24 hours. Invalid or already-redeemed codes are covered under buyer protection.

"This code is not recognized": Check each character carefully — common confusions are 0 vs O and 1 vs I. Enter the code manually rather than pasting from a screenshot to avoid hidden characters or formatting issues.
