Claude has three paid subscription tiers: Pro at $20/month (or $17/month billed annually), Max 5x at $100/month, and Max 20x at $200/month — official claude.com pricing as of August 2026; marketplace listing prices may differ. The table below compares all of them against the free plan at a glance, then each section explains what the tier actually adds and who it is for.

Prices and features below mirror the official claude.com pricing page (August 2026). Every tier includes everything from the tier below it, and Max is one plan sold at two usage levels — 5x ($100/month) and 20x ($200/month).

The free plan is more capable than most free AI tiers: chat on web, iOS, Android, and desktop, code generation and data visualization, web search, memory across conversations, file creation and code execution, extended thinking for complex work, and connectors — including Slack, Google Workspace, and any remote MCP server.
What it does not include is the paid product surface: no Claude Code, no Cowork, Design, or Science, no Research, Projects capped at five without the enhanced knowledge retrieval paid plans get, and a usage ceiling low enough that a serious work session will hit it. Free is for evaluating Claude, not for depending on it.
Pro is the tier where the product opens up, and the jump from Free is about capability, not just quota. It adds Claude Code for terminal and IDE coding work, Claude Cowork, Claude Design, and Claude Science, unlimited Projects with enhanced knowledge retrieval over their documents, Research, access to more Claude models, and Claude for Microsoft 365 — on top of more usage than Free.
Annual billing brings the price to $17/month, a 15% discount over the $20 monthly rate. For most individuals who use Claude daily — writing, coding, research, document analysis — Pro is the correct tier, and the one to stay on until its limits demonstrably get in your way.
Max 5x provides five times more usage per session than Pro. This is the important thing to understand about Max: it does not unlock new tools. Every feature is already in Pro — what you are buying is headroom, along with higher output limits for all tasks, early access to advanced Claude features, and priority access at high-traffic times.
That makes the upgrade decision unusually clean. If Pro gives you everything you need except enough of it — long Claude Code sessions that stop mid-task, document sets you cannot finish in one sitting, a full workday of iterative back-and-forth — Max 5x is the answer. If you are not hitting limits, it changes nothing about your experience.
Max 20x provides twenty times more usage per session than Pro, with the same feature set as Max 5x. It exists for near-continuous, all-day workloads: developers driving Claude Code hard across large codebases, researchers synthesizing large document sets daily, or anyone whose account is effectively running from morning to evening.
At this volume the effective cost per unit of work is the lowest of any tier. But the reverse is also true — if you are not exhausting Max 5x, the extra $100/month buys capacity you will not use. Start at 5x and move up if it runs out.
Use Free to evaluate Claude, then move to Pro as soon as you want Claude Code, Research, or Cowork — those are capability gates, not quota gates, and no amount of patience on the free tier gets you past them.
Stay on Pro until its limits interrupt a normal working day. When they do, Max 5x is the step up, and $17/month on Pro's annual plan versus $100/month on Max is a large enough gap that it is worth being honest about whether you are actually hitting limits or just anticipating them.
Go to Max 20x only after Max 5x has proven insufficient at your real workload. If you are unsure whether you need 20x, you do not.
Searches like "Claude Max 5x Google Play price" usually come from one place: subscribing inside the iOS or Android app bills through Apple or Google, and in-app prices are often set higher than claude.com's $20/$100/$200 to absorb the store's commission. The exact in-app figure varies by country and store — check the subscription sheet inside the app before confirming.
Subscribing on claude.com always uses the official web price, and annual billing (the $17/month Pro rate) is a web option. If a card is the problem rather than the price, a marketplace subscription credit is the third route: Claude Pro, Max 5x, and Max 20x listings on Taria Gift show their current prices and are paid in USDT or USDC — no card or app-store account involved.
All three paid tiers — Pro, Max 5x, and Max 20x — are available as subscription credits on Taria Gift when inventory is in stock. Pay with USDC or USDT on Base, BSC, or Arbitrum, with no credit card or bank account needed.
Open the Claude brand page, select the plan that matches your workload, and pay from your crypto wallet. The subscription code appears on your paid order page after on-chain confirmation. If you specifically want Claude Code, see the Claude Code crypto payment guide.
Official claude.com pricing: Free is $0, Pro is $20/month or $17/month billed annually, Max 5x is $100/month, and Max 20x is $200/month. These are web prices — in-app purchases through Apple or Google may cost more, and marketplace listing prices on Taria Gift may differ.
Pro unlocks the paid product: Claude Code, Cowork, Design, Science, unlimited Projects, Research, more models, and Claude for Microsoft 365. Max adds no new tools — it multiplies usage (5x or 20x more per session than Pro) and adds higher output limits, early access to advanced features, and priority access at peak times.
Only the usage ceiling and the price. Max 5x ($100/month) gives five times more usage per session than Pro; Max 20x ($200/month) gives twenty times. The feature set is identical at both levels.
Yes. Claude Code is included with Claude Pro, and both Max tiers include it at their higher usage ceiling. Heavy Claude Code sessions are the most common reason people move from Pro to Max — the tool is the same, the limits are not.
If you regularly exhaust Claude Pro limits during your work day, yes. If you use Claude occasionally or in moderate bursts, Pro is sufficient — Max buys usage, not features, so it changes nothing for someone who is not hitting limits.
Both Max tiers give access to the same Claude models as Pro, which unlocks more models than the free plan. Model availability changes as Anthropic releases new versions — check the model picker in the app for what your plan currently includes.
Yes. Claude Pro, Max 5x, and Max 20x subscription credits are available on Taria Gift when inventory is in stock. Pay with USDC or USDT on Base, BSC, or Arbitrum — no card needed.
Claude Pro on annual billing at $17/month is the lowest-cost paid entry point. If Pro limits still interrupt your work, Max 5x provides five times the usage per session; Max 20x is priced for very high-volume workflows.
